�So I wanted to point out that �I am against King County Charter Amendment No. 8.

This amendment, if passed, would make the King County executive, council and other offices "nonpartisan". The thing with this is that people shouldnapos;t hide their political party.�

This amendment is the wet dream of Republicans who want to keep their job without having to tell voters in an�overwhelmingly county�that they are Republicans.

There is nothing wrong with being a Republican. I just happen to disagree with most of the social and economic policies. I also believe that anyone who is not a millionaire that votes Republican is honestly voting against their own best interest. That doesnapos;t make them evil or bad people. The Republican party hasnapos;t always been a failure. It just has been for the last 40 years of so.

It was Eisenhower, a�Republican, who said, "we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the militaryindustrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist."

Iapos;m proud to be a Democrat and I was proud to be a Democrat when that wasnapos;t so popular. �I just donapos;t see why Republcians cannot stand tall and stand proud of their party as well.... ..

Vote no on this stupid Amendment...
